Chris Humber, Senior Vice President, General Counsel
Mr. Humber joined Bonanza Creek in January 2012. Prior to joining Bonanza Creek, Mr. Humber was a partner with Kendall, Koenig and Oelsner PC and served as our outside counsel since May 2006. While in private practice, Chris represented public and private companies and investors in a broad range of corporate and securities matters including mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, tender offers and equity and debt financings. In addition to advising both public and private companies on general corporate matters, Chris has extensive experience counseling public companies with respect to their reporting obligations under the federal securities laws and stock exchange rules.
Mr. Humber’s previous experience includes corporate and securities law at Arnold & Porter and Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells). Mr. Humber graduated with high honors from Emory University School of Law. Chris also holds a B.A. degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Lynn Boone, Senior Vice President, Reservoir Engineering
Ms. Boone joined Bonanza Creek in August 2012. She directs the company’s reservoir engineering activities as it relates to the development and evaluation of oil and gas reserves, and assists in SEC reserves reporting and compliance. Ms. Boone began her career at Unocal and has worked in lead engineering and reservoir engineering roles with the U.S. Geological Survey, HS Resources, and Cody Energy; most recently she served as Senior Vice President – Planning and Reserves at Bill Barrett Corporation from 2003 to 2012. Ms. Boone holds a B.S. in Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
Wade Jaques, Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer
Mr. Jaques joined Bonanza Creek in 2010 as its Controller, was promoted to Chief Accounting Officer in September 2011, elected Treasurer in March 2012, and assumed the duties of Principal Financial Officer in November 2012. Prior to joining Bonanza Creek, Mr. Jaques was the Controller and Assistant Corporate Secretary for Ellora Energy Inc., a Colorado based independent oil and gas company, from October 2005 until shortly after its merger with Exxon Mobil Corporation in August 2010. Prior to that time, Mr. Jaques was an Audit Manager in Deloitte & Touche’s Denver office serving oil and gas clients. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from Utah State University and is a certified public accountant in Texas and Colorado.
Ryan Zorn, Vice President, Finance
Mr. Zorn joined Bonanza Creek in October 2012. He is responsible for directing the Company’s capital activities and developing the Company’s finance and capital markets strategy. From 2010 until 2012, Mr. Zorn was a portfolio manager at Bijou Capital Management, a Denver based investment fund which he founded. From 2005 until 2010, Mr. Zorn was a director and portfolio manager with Saracen Energy Advisors, a multi-strategy energy sector hedge fund in Houston and Denver. Prior to Saracen, Mr. Zorn was Vice President – Exploration & Production Equity Research for Simmons & Company International in Houston and held various equity research and analyst positions for Goldman Sachs & Company in New York and Nesbitt Burns Securities Inc. in Houston. Mr. Zorn graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. in Economics and additional course work in Petroleum Engineering.
